Good/bad
competition
Win the prize of fame!
This picture was taken at the BSDRA southern regionals. With your dinghy
sailor’s hat firmly on, carefully pick out the good and bad points of
sailing that the picture portrays. Team racing conditions were sunny and
quite breezy with the boats approaching the finish line in a close-fought
final leg.
We want you to tell us the good points and poor points of dinghy handling
that this instant in time reveals. Equally you might compare rig setups or
sail settings. Your answers will be scrutinised by a panel of experienced
sailors and the person submitting the most acceptable answers will be the
winner. Your name and responses will be published in a future edition of
CentreBoard.
Please send your list of observations, however minor, to the Editor,
ideally electronically, but any form
will do, or c/o Brenda in the office if preferred. If under 19 before 31
December 2004, please mention your age. No frivolous or anonymous entries
please.
Describe the boats by colour and the sailors similarly, for example Helm
Blue or Crew Yellow. For the purpose of this competition the sailors’
identities are not relevant.
Do it right now! Good luck. Ed. |
